Saudi Arabian Bureau visit - May 8th, 2012

On Tuesday May 8th, senior officials from the Saudi Arabian Cultural Bureau visited Brock University. The Saudi Ministry of Higher Education provides a significant number of scholarships to send students to study in Canada every year and there are currently more than 100 students currently studying at Brock in a wide range of disciplines. The Bureau’s attendees for this visit were:

Mr. Jason Barfoot, International Recruitment / Admissions Officer
Dr. Norma MacSween, Director, ESL Services
Ms. Stephanie Soccio, Assistant Director, Student Affairs
Ms. Leigh Pritchard, Acting Associate Director, Academic Programs
Ms. Tanya Bhandari, Manager, International Market Relations

During the day-long visit the officials were able to sit down with the Faculty of Business to discuss Brock's MBA/ISP Program. They also got a chance to observe a business class in progress, MBAB 5P23- Entrepreneurship led by Dr. Dominic Lim. During the afternoon they sat down with Brock International and ESL Services to discuss their current students at Brock University. At the end of the day they were able to meet with most of the current Saudi Arabian students here at Brock to hear about their experiences here and also give them updates regarding their scholarships.
