Student Event Risk Management

What We Do

Student Event Risk Management has become a priority for Brock University due to the nature of some events and the age of the participants that engage in the activities. These procedures are for events that are organized for students that are non-academic.

Through its risk management procedures, Brock University seeks to minimize the level of risk in various activities while still offering quality events for students. These procedures have been established to create an awareness of planning/safety issues, and to protect both the students who attend an event and the organizers of the event.

By filling out the risk management forms the event organizer and the Manager, Residence Life and Student Affairs are able to identify the risks and mitigate them to the best of their ability. It is accepted that there is risk in almost all situations and events, however the university aims to limit the risk and maximize safety for Brock students.
